Using the GamePad Companion Plugin for Mac OS 10.5, I was able to use my drum set that came with Rock Band for the Wii a few years ago in GarageBand. All you need to do is map the pads to keys on the keyboard and then use the "Musical Typing" window in GarageBand. It's a cheap alternative to an expensive midi drum set.

Rock Band Wii Drums in GarageBand
